Workshop- In My Shoes: Using Socio-drama as a Tool to Raise Consciousness about Homophobia, Trans-phobia, and Gender Conformity.  Participants are guided through real-life situational scenes that are developed by the participants, setting the stage for audience dialogue  through the guided discussion of the facilitator, and learn how to use the medium with organizations, agencies, institutions and police departments. (2 hours)

New Routes to Social Work Success

A 6 hour Interactive Socio-Drama Training/Workshop for Social Workers 
Highly charged and practical workshop demonstrating how socio-drama can be used and how it is an effective method in the education and training of social workers about a variety of challenging topics including sexual assault, domestic violence, homophobia and racism.
East Stroudsburg University Sociodrama Ensemble
Dr. Telesco and Kris Drumm worked with the student ensemble over a two year period exploring the issues of alcohol abuse, date rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, suicide, eating disorders, mental illness, and hate crimes and developing several compelling sociodrama presentations for various campus and off campus audiences. This unique educational theater tool helps to raise awareness and educate participants on critical issues. 13th International Conference on Sexual Assault and Harassment on Campus. October 2002 Presented highly charged and interactive workshop in Orlando, Florida entitled Raising Awareness about Sexual Assault on Campus using Sociodrama as a Tool. Participants included faculty, students, administrators, counselors, and other service providers.  The objective of the workshop was to illustrate how sociodrama can be used as an educational tool to raise awareness and consciousness of college students on many issues.
Redevelopment Corporation/ F.A.C.T.
(Families and Children in Therapy) Program

Project included all day training of social work staff and supervisors utilizing sociodrama on issues of termination, loss and supervision.
Training on gender issues, masculinity and male violence, and the role of men in the anti-rape, anti-violence movement. (6 hours)
TMI Management Systems Leadership Development Retreat
Miami Beach

Exploring Pathways to Excellence in Leadership.  A two-day intensive retreat focusing on issues of integrity, workplace ethics, leadership skills, management style and communication.  A variety of mediums including socio-drama, collage work, group work, simulations and guided critical thinking were used to bring managers to a new level of self awareness, competence and confidence.
Retreat for Peer Educators
Women’s Resources, East Stroudsburg, PA

2 day retreat- training of 25 participants in the use of socio drama to educate peers about sexual and dating violence.
Good Dog Foundation
Effective Communication, Crisis Intervention & Disaster Response Training

Therapy – dog handlers are trained in crisis and trauma, effective listening, handling vicarious trauma, and dealing with conflict in a six-hour interactive workshop.  Feelings about and fears about being victims of disasters are explored.
